I Wrote That

on the street corners of Huntington Beach they are offering services much better than just directions to the nearest new subdivision open house. MUCH BETTER!

so i guess i’m only posting mon-fri since i seem to be having problems posting on the weekend. tomorrow starts another month. i’m going for 30 days in a row. really. wish me luck.

i was in the kitchen warming up my lunch for today. i was looking out the window at the mobile detailing guys working and checking out where my car was in the rotation when i noticed this:

an angel in the window.

(it may be helpful to squint and look out the corner of your eye. lol)

these are grackles. they stay in large groups together and they are NOISY. at night i can hear them talking in the trees outside my bedroom. midnight, 2:30, 4:15, 5:30am. you can hear them going to town talking about their day and the day they are going to have. these birds in the grass were outside my office this morning. kind of walking around amongst each other. and every once in a while you will see one that is puffed up to twice it’s normal size and it will be dancing around and in front of another bird. that’s called bird “game” i guess.

i got my hair cut yesterday. nothing much different. although i do have bangs now. anyway, between the bangs and having to actually style my hair today i got a later start than i wanted. i’m usally at my desk all settled in by this time. but today i’m just pulling out of the garage.

with fruit ripe for picking and new blooms being set. you know the seasons are changing! never mind the biggest clue…it was 91 degrees yesterday! already you say? yes, already!

distractions from work…

1. check email

2. read blogs, online papers & magazines

3. research travel destinations

4. check email, again

5. look up that one song from that one movie with that one person from that one show

6. see who got voted off on antm, project runway, top chef, etc.

7. read recap of favorite show (LOST)

8. read favorite recap of show i only sometimes watch

8. check email, one more time just in case

9. backgammon

i completely flaked about posting saturday AND sunday! and i was on such a roll.

yesterday we had a truly wonderful day in the desert. i may or may not get to post more pictures here but here’s one of the kids. (josh was busy with his last official practice before him & his team go to the National Pro Paintball League tournament this coming weekend. look for some pictures of that to come.)
