QUANTUM LEAP–remember this tv show? i’m not sure why, but the main character would “leap” into other people’s bodies and then while he was there he would have to solve a problem or deal with some kind of issue that he had to make right. once everything was settled he would leap out to the next body. but he never really knows for sure what he’s supposed to make right. so he has a sidekick that is a hologram and he helps him figure out what the problem is he’s supposed to make right. it was a pretty funny show. because the main character, who is a guy, would sometimes leap into women’s bodies and then you’d see him wearing a dress. we would all see the actor but all the other characters would see whoever he leaped into. it was a good show. it starred scott bakula. i remember my sister loved him! lol the other night i was flipping through the channels and this show was on. i guess one of the cable channels brought it back.

QWERTY–this is what they call a “normal” computer keyboard. for some reason i didn’t put 2 and 2 together and realize that QWERTY was the top left row of letters. um, duh! but did you know this isn’t the only type of keyboard? they also have a dvorak or simplified keyboard. they have one-handed keyboards for the right and left hands. i guess for those who are serious multi-taskers. :-)

there is alos a colemak. this version is supposed to put less stain on the overworked pinky fingers. :-) i have to admit after typing on my QWERTY keyboard, my pinkies do get a little stiff and tired.

QUAIL–not the former vice president. that’s quayle (i think). i’m talking about the little birds who live in groups called coveys. i’m not sure i have ever seen them flying. normally they are seen walking in a group. they are super cute because they have this feather(s) that form a little top not.

QUARTER–do you collect state quarters? no? well i’m a nerd and i do. i’m not a serious numismatic so i don’t really care if they are uncirculated or their condition or which mint they came from. but i do like a nice clean and shiny coin after it’s been through the washer. the state quarter program started in 1999 and ends this year. the u.s. mint issues 4 quarters a year for each of the 50 states in order of when they became states. arizona became a state in 1912 and is the 48th coin to be issued. it comes out in june with only alaska and hawaii to come after that.
