i’m lost

UPDATE: i asked my sister if she watched lost last week. she hadn’t but it was q-ed on her dvr to watch. so i was telling her about the ending being cut off and how grey’s went over. she said that grey’s always goes over 2 or 3 minutes and that lost is technically only 58 minutes so that it all evens out…normally.

i feel even more jipped now. first the ending was pre-empted so i missed it (whatever IT was) and then i find out that all this time i have been led to believe i’m getting an hour’s worth of lost (including commercials). how did grey’s rate all the extra time?

i only watch one show regularly each week. only one. not two or three or four. but one. i’m addicted to LOST. i only started watching it this season. but i borrowed the previous 3 season to catch up marathon style. so last night i tune in at 9pm exactly but i don’t see any jungle, no freighter, not even ONE other. what i do see is grey’s anatomy. which i have only watched one partial episode. the premiere episode. and it only took less than 1/2 an episode to figure out it wasn’t going to be a fave. but lost is different. i love that show. there probably isn’t one thing i don’t like about. even my son knows that thursday at 9 are MY TIME. he will ask to go somewhere and since i know we are easily distracted and would end up staying out too late and miss part of the show i just look at him and say “LOST is on tonight” in my most petulant 14 year old voice dripping with attitude.

anyway, it was 9pm and grey’s was still on. then it was 9:01 and 9:02 and i started to think my clock was wrong (it wasn’t) then it was 9:03 and finally LOST started. thank goodness i was beginning to get worried. last night’s show was pretty good. got to the last minute or 2, which if you are a lost fan know is VERY important and necessary to see because they always say, do or show you something that makes you really think about it all. but last night i was robbed of that precious moment when at 9:59 when lost is wrapping up and getting to those aforementioned necessary last few minutes the show cut off. in it’s replacement was the george lopez show. now i love the george lopez show and think it’s very funny and love when GL mocks his wife’s dad saying “wachala” (at least i think that is what he says.) but i do not love the gl show when it cuts off lost. nothing again gl i’m just saying. so now i feel unfulfilled and just a little empty inside.

get over it you say? oh i will and almost am……..okay i’m done. can’t wait for next week!
